The latest edition of Modern Law magazine features Andy Roscoe and Nabil Shah as they discuss how home buying may be changing in the future.

During the discussion, Andy and Nabil spoke about how they believe that technology needs to support conveyancers so that they can do what they do best rather than replacing them.

This came with one caveat – firms need to start preparing to implement changes so that they can accept the technology now.

Andy argued that firms need to focus on building flexibility into their operating models so that they are ready to adopt changes as they emerge.

A change that both Nabil and Andy would love to see is a change in the way identification documents are requested.

It is often the case that numerous parties are requesting the same documents throughout the course of a transaction.

Andy and Nabil would both favour a process which removes unnecessary repetition while maintaining legal safeguards, which would benefit both clients and conveyancers.
