Andy is a partner, heading our residential conveyancing team and has responsibility for risk and compliance services.

Andy specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales, purchases, remortgages and lease extensions.

Alongside his practice, he plays a key role in the firm’s regulatory and compliance framework, advising on AML, risk management and internal compliance issues, as well as supporting the effective use of case management systems and legal technology.

He also acts as Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP), Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) and Deputy COFA.

Andy’s role focuses on leading and supporting the residential conveyancing team, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently, risks are managed appropriately and clients receive a consistently high level of service.

He is known for his solution-driven approach, combining clear communication with a strong commercial awareness to ensure transactions proceed as smoothly as possible.

Having started his career in conveyancing in 2002, he has worked his way through the profession to become a partner in 2015.

Andy brings significant practical experience to both his leadership and client-facing roles.  He is widely regarded within the firm as a “go-to” adviser on complex or unusual matters, whether relating to property, broader compliance or technology questions, providing clear, accessible guidance.

Andy has also contributed to wider industry discussions through participation in conveyancing roundtables organised by the Law Society and Modern Law Magazine.

He is considered a respected and experienced voice within the conveyancing community.

Residential conveyancing

  • Acting for a wide range of clients, from first-time buyers to high-net-worth individuals, on residential sales and purchases.
  • Advising on complex leasehold transactions, including lease extensions and associated title issues.
  • Managing high-volume remortgage matters with a focus on efficiency, communication and risk management.
  • Resolving title defects and transaction challenges to ensure matters proceed to completion without unnecessary delay.
  • Supporting clients through time-sensitive and complex transactions requiring proactive and strategic oversight.

Risk & compliance

  • Advising colleagues across the firm on AML, regulatory obligations and risk management issues.
  • Acting as COLP, MLCO and Deputy COFA with responsibility for maintaining and developing the firm’s compliance framework.
  • Supporting the implementation and optimisation of case management systems and legal technology.
  • Providing practical and commercially focused guidance on complex or unusual compliance scenarios.
