Andy is the head of our private client team, with over 21 years’ experience as a qualified solicitor.

He joined the firm in May 2025 having previously been a partner at a multi-office regional firm and a niche practice in central London.

During this time, Andy was featured in the Legal 500 as a recommended solicitor.

As one of our partners and team leaders, Andy contributes to the development and growth of the firm.

He is at the forefront of ensuring that our private client services are of the highest quality, with proactive communication and transparent updates.

He has been recognised for dealing with complex matters in a highly professional manner, delivering communication in a calm and understanding manner in what are often stressful and emotional times for clients.

Andy regularly receives work referrals from financial advisers, accountants, other law firms and from previous clients.

He is always happy to go where the work takes him. You can typically find Andy at our Marylebone office. However, he does travel across our offices and attends home visits when required.

Andy is equally happy drafting Mirror Wills for married couples leaving their estates to each other and then their children or advising on discretionary trusts to utilise business property relief.

Recent work

Some of Andy’s recent work includes:

  • Acting as an attorney for property and financial affairs for a client who was found guilty of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility and successfully challenging the forfeiture rule so that the client received a share of their spouse’s estate.
  • Acting for lay deputies in a successful application to the Court of Protection to allow them to gift from P’s estate, which included regular gifts.
  • Dealing with an ultra-high net worth estate, where there were assets in England or Wales, but with assets across multiple jurisdictions and the deceased was domiciled in a different jurisdiction.
  • Advising trustees on the winding up of discretionary trusts and exit and 10th anniversary charges.
  • Successfully replacing an attorney who was prosecuted for fraud by abuse of position, having been accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of pounds from a vulnerable person.
  • Acting as deputy for property and financial affairs where there have been multi-million-pound damages awards.
  • Acting as a trustee for a Will trust where the deceased died a single parent, leaving a minor beneficiary who inherits when they attain the age of 21 years.
  • Acting as an executor where the deceased’s ex-spouse was accused of causing their death and the estate fell into intestacy for the benefit of minor children.
  • Advising on obtaining a creditor’s grant where the executors to the deceased’s Will had renounced and the residuary beneficiaries had disclaimed but their identities were unknown.
  • Obtaining grants of representation in relation to claims against the police.
