Jamela has vast experience in dealing with commercial and complex litigation for both businesses and private individuals with a particular emphasis on property disputes.
She also has experience in dealing the Insolvency Claims and Inheritance Action Claims and Professional Negligence Claims. Jamela believes that at the outset you should have a road map as to what the client wants to achieve and work hard to achieve this goal. One of her highlights was attending Auckland Court and representing her client and achieving a large settlement.
Jamela has been the lead solicitor in a number of successful cases that have either been determined by Mediation or at Trial. Jamela can take the lead as Principal Legal Representative at a Mediation and additionally works closely with Counsel depending on the case requirements.

- Successful claim in the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) involving over 50 properties
- Cladding claims and dealing with Insolvent Developer Companies
- Building Disputes including Section 20 Notices –one recently involving a managing agent who withdrew their Notice once challenged.
- Dilapidation claims and building and refurbishment projects
- Professional negligence claim. She recently advised in respect of a solicitor`s failure to advise in respect of a marriage value in the conveyance of a leasehold property achieving an out of court settlement
- Successful struck out a Developer`s case with costs awarded in client`s favour
- Recent Judgment against a Seller for their failure to deliver up vacant possession of commercial premises
She has contacts with Insurance providers to look at your options regarding a bespoke insurance policy (after the event ) should proceedings be necessary.
